How often we keep trying to win more business from new clients. I think it is ten times easier to get more business from existing satisfied customers than finding new customers.
I am not saying that you should not look for new customers, my point is that you should not ignore your existing customers and give more time and importance to existing customers and their needs.
Generally we are really busy in a day to day life and when we do business with some one we create a relationship and prefer to do business again instead of wasting time and money to find new business partners or suppliers. Of course if we had a good experience at first place.
Here is a classic example.
People generally keep going to the same barber for years and don’t change it even some one offer a slightly cheaper option. This is a human nature and as human we are like this.
Change is a reality but as a human being we don’t like it.
When you serve your customer well and give the attention they deserve, you create a rapport. If you know the art of leveraging your rapport then you can you sell your existing customers as much as you want.
Literally you can sell anything. Key is that you should maintain your rapport.
You can maintain your rapport as long as you provide the better quality each time you sell something to your existing customers.
To me this could be the single most important point to consider before I work with any one. When selling to existing customers you already have that because your customer know you already, know your communication style, your work attitude etc.
Because of this there is a high chance that they will buy from your instead from a new supplier if you offer them value.
