Calling all car drivers to start blogging! Not really. 🙂
Lots of similarities between blogging and driving a car came to my mind when I was driving other day. So i thought it would be a good idea to jot it down. Here are my thoughts, don’t forget to share your experience in the comments section at the bottom of this post.
Number of things you need to memorise when you start driving lessons.Such as where is the clutch, breaks, left or right signals list goes on and on. Similarly when you start blogging you got to memorise long list of things like;
- Writing block
- Formatting text
- How to find and use keywords
- Finding pictures
- How to use blogging platforms etc.
“Practice makes you perfect” learned this lesson in my childhood while playing cricket and this rule always worked in every thing I learned.
It is really hard to blog regularly when you start but it gets really easy if you keep practicing similarly it applies on driving. The more you drive the more it gets part of your day to day life and after some practice it does not seem like doing a work.
Blogging is not just writing. If you think you are a good writer and you will find readers only by writing good stuff then I am afraid it is not a realistic approach.
Quality writing is the fundamental requirement but once you have written the quality post then you should know how to market and find readers, so your quality writing can get recognition. To achieve this you should be ready to do quite a few multitasking such as keyword research, promoting on forums, social media properties, blog commenting etc.
Writing a quality post is like starting a car engine only but to reach your destiny you have to change many gears, use right and left signals, clutch, breaks in short It requires lots of multi tasking before you can reach your destiny.
The more you drive or write your control gets better.
With experience your vision improve in both driving and blogging. You could see so many new things which you could not see at start.
What difference you can see in your driving and blogging when you compare with the start? You can share your thoughts in the comments below.
