I think as a human being we all love our creation and assume that rest of the world would like and love it to. In business I am afraid in business this does not happen all the time.
Our ideas are like our babies, generally we can’t see any defect or correction needed. Before you launch your product or service consider the following points to avoid disappointment because people pay for solutions for their problems not for your great product or your product or service cannot be great until it solves a problem which your customers are facing.
This is the ever most popular product characteristic you could ever make off. If your product can make money for your customers and then you truly have a great product.
Time is one of the thing which we all have equal, but value of time for each of us is different e.g. if you are a doctor you may be getting paid for $100 an hour and a gardener might be getting $10 dollar an hour.
Generally people on higher income brackets pay for services instead doing themselves to leverage their time. For example, if a doctor needs to do a gardening (unless it is his hobby) and it requires 5 hours, he would rather pay to a gardener $50 and while earning $500 in his job.
Does your product save time to your target audience?
HELP WORK SMARTER
We all are getting busier and busier and generally like to use new technology and gadgets, you can have successful product if it helps people to do more work in less time or help them to organize better.
SOLVE ANY other PROBLEM
I mentioned above classic and general things people generally pay and one thing you could find in all the above points is “solution”. People pay for a solutions not for products.
Here is a million dollar tip!
Think of a unique problem your customers may have and create a solution around that, the more unique problem you will solve lesser the competition will be.
You should also note that unique problem should be faced by sufficient number of people so you can get enough customers.
