Did you know that water is hot on 99 degree Celsius and boils on 100 degree Celsius?
This is the number one problem I had when doing any task, I use to lose concentration before the completion of most tasks especially boring tasks such as doing accounts. You generally get rewarded for the 100% completed task not for a 99% completion.
You never know 1% of the task left behind could ruin all the effort you put in.
I know I am going to ask you a difficult thing because Monday morning is the busiest time of the week. But believe me, if you can do this exercise you can achieve a lot from a working week.
Before you start usual work, spend couple of hours to decide:
- 5 Goals if you achieve at the end of the week, you will consider your week successful
- 5 Daily tasks to achieve your week end goals
It is really easy to get overwhelmed with planning and feel good.
But keep in mind planning plays 20% and implementation plays 80% role towards success. Therefore, it is really vital that you spend same percentage of time on planning and implementation.
Tips for implementations:
- One task at a time
- Complete the task 100% before moving to next task
- Be realistic with the time (we only have 24 hours in a day)
- Take regular breaks (believe me it helps)
- Learn to prioritise
- KISS (Keep it so simple)
- Have fun (very important)
Only plan for two hours at the start of the week and commit yourself fully on implementation for rest of the week.
This is so crucial to find out improvements and problems. Make a note of all the problems you may face implementing your plan and find solutions next Monday morning.

Do not change your plan just because you are having problems. If you do that then you can find yourself in a planning mode all the week and target work can survive immensely.
Try to plan your usage of social networks, they have the power to waste your hours big time.
