Lately I have been spending more and more time on learning new things, reading lots of blog posts, watching videos you name it. I was feeling really strong theoretically but not getting the results I would be expecting from my blog.
Do you know why
My goal was getting more readers for my blog and for that I suppose to write more quality blog posts. But I was concentrating more and more on other things instead of writing.
How can I achieve my goal by not doing what I was supposed to do?
What do you do when you go to shopping? Do you go there and look everything out there and buy any thing you find it?
I don’t think so; generally you keep some sort of list on the paper, on phone or in your mind so you can get those things which you require instead of wasting time looking every thing in the shopping mall.
Depending on individual circumstances you also have a budget to spend in mind as well. We all know time is money; do we spend like money?
Similarly having an to do list of your daily key activities is really crucial, instead of starting your day lost and spending most of your day figuring out what to do.
Daily Key Activities
As business owner, you can easily identify few important things which you should be doing on a daily basis consistently to achieve your business goals.
For example,
- If you are a realtor you should be calling 5 to 10 people daily to get new clients
- As a blogger you should be writing quality blog posts daily
- As a web designer number of clients you are signing on daily
If you are not achieving success in your business you should audit your daily activities to check, are you spending most of your working time on the core activities which can take your business to the next level or you are just spending most of the time just surfing the net.
And I believe it is not difficult to point out core tasks which any business owner should do, we all know that and it is just a matter of discipline yourself to do those important daily tasks on a consistent basis.
More time you spend on a daily basis on your core activities, more likely you will get results you expect. Before spending time on things which are not important always think “time is money” and check whether you should spend on this thing.
Who is Agree with Me
Well you don’t have to agree with me, these are my thoughts you may have different point of view. Feel free to discuss in the comments section below.
