Google is asking businesses to wait to create business identities on Google plus. Are you feeling frustrated that you cannot create business profiles on Google yet?
It is really tempting at the moment but lets have a look how as a business you can leverage the Google +.
Because of so much demand from businesses since the launch of Google+ for individuals, Google has already accelerated the plan to launch the business pages.
Initially it was planned later this year but now we should hope to see the business pages sooner. I think businesses should not be frustrated and use this waiting time to learn the Google + system and prepare themselves to leverage the business pages as soon as they will be launched.
At the end of the day every social media tool is all about communication. To participate in the debate well and to influence you should be a good listener. This is an excellent chance for businesses to listen the conversation going on to sharpen their policies accordingly when they get the chance to create the business pages.
Google Plus Features
Google is a huge co-operation and it took them years to create the product. It might look simple and easy to use, but can be used to leverage your business in a numerous ways.
I think businesses should spend the waiting time on understanding and learning the Google plus tool until they launch the business pages officially launched instead of getting frustrated.
Out of many great features included in the Google plus, I am really excited to see the following features in the business pages.
Circles: Darren Rowse suggested a great idea:
“I wish we could set some of our circles to be public and let people ‘subscribe’ to or opt in to following them”
This will give the option to individuals to get the messages according to their choice instead of sender’s needs.
Hangout: Youtube is the second biggest search engine; I have not doubt that we will be watching more and more videos in coming days. I can see the huge potential of this feature for businesses. Although it is limited to group of 10 people at the moment and I would like to see larger group option in business pages.
+1 Button: Any one who is relying on Google search rankings (I am sure there will be many businesses) should look out for the impact of +1 button very closely.
I have no doubt that in coming months +1 will have the major impact in the search rankings in Google.
These are just my views, I would like to hear yours in the comments sections below.
