I hope you are staying safe and healthy.
Life has changed for all of us in the last few weeks. I’m trying to stay sane by playing with kids and exercise in whenever I can.
The whole world is going through an unprecedented difficult time right now, and I think we all are craving for a breakthrough badly.
It got tough to:
- Concentrate on your work
- Process all the news
- Keep going with life as normal
While going through all this, I stumbled upon the 1-minute video message sent by my son’s headteacher.
Because of the school closures, his school started to upload short video messages on the school website.
It was the first video message after the school closures, and she started with the following game-changing words, in my opinion.
“The show must go on.” Queen
This mindset helped me regain my lost focus, and I started to work on what I can control in this uncontrollable situation.
I started to focus on what I can control:
- Washing my hands often
- Staying home
- Playing my part to support my tribe
I stopped:
- Following the news all the time
- Watching and spreading Whatsapp messages
- Complaining about the lockdown
The world has changed at a rapid pace; whether we accept it or not.
The digital economy is not an option anymore. We have been forced into the virtual digital economy overnight. You need to learn new ways of doing things to survive.
To win in this new digital economy, you need to learn:
- Working from home
- Different online business models
- Video calling instead of meeting in person
“Ultimately, the only way to truly be in control of your life is to be in control of your thoughts.” James Clear
How are you staying in control of your thoughts in these crises?
